Some may believe they have become cliché, but I still love random acts of kindness. Small or grandiose, I believe we all have the responsibility to help each other whenever and wherever we can; these are two small ways I try to do my part.
You Matter
I have witnessed the power the humble greeting card has to improve someone’s day so many times and I’ve thought about ways I can help spread more of that positive impact. So, once a month, I go to an online phone or address database, click on pages at random and mail 6 cards of encouragement to 6 total strangers. If I am having a bad day or if I am feeling grumpy, I send a few more. It’s a teeny gesture to be sure, but the idea of people opening their mailboxes to these unexpected little surprises makes me smile.
If this sounds like something you may want to be a part of, for every order of 50 or more cards, I will include set of 6 You Matter cards at no charge. All I ask is your commitment to mail them to 6 people you don’t know.
Katie’s Place Animal Shelter
Animals have always been a part of my life; from my very first memories right through to today. They share my home, they live in my heart and they even find their way into… ahem… business logos.
One of the very best uses of my time is that which I spend volunteering at this little non-profit shelter www.katiesplaceshelter.com for special needs animals. I volunteer alongside some of the very best humans I know, who work tirelessly to improve the lives of amazing animals. It is part of who I am and as such, a portion of the sale of every single card is donated towards their care.
